The notorious 1st Hill squirrel tease spotted Casey while we were on a stroll near Seattle's Swedish Medical Clinic. This little guy (or girl...who knows) caught the kid's eye as he descended to nearly ground level, staying just out of reach and shaking his rear end anytime Casey came close.
Some locals said this Western gray teases the neighborhood dogs all day long, so a newbie like Casey was no challenge.
And obviously getting a real kick out of pushing our leash law to its legal limit.
Let it go, kid. He's working you.
Do you still have the "good" red squirrels, or just the "bad" grey ones now? In France we had red ones but only grey here in Scotland.
