Hawkeye grieving

An unforgettable image has gone viral today, one that speaks volumes, and far beyond the grieving Labrador Hawkeye at the base of his master’s flag-draped coffin.



If you hadn't seen this moving photo before now, taken at the funeral of Navy SEAL Jon Tumlison of Des Moines, Iowa, killed in Afghanistan on August 6, it might be a comforting therapy to rub behind your dog's ears for a few minutes longer today. But you already knew that.

    You're right, Boris gets an extra cuddle today. That makes 300 in a 24 hour period. But who's counting? Very moving photo.
