Man, you've gotta look close, get lucky, and then just start snapping. If you've got a cup of coffee in your hand, or you if blink more than once, you'll never get that shot of a hummingbird feasting off of your Lucifer plant.
Today though, the dependable crocosmia was the big draw, as it is each summer. Last year we practically had a stake out going on and got a much better picture, but we'll keep at it. As long as it's flaunting these crimson blossoms, this tempting Lucifer is still proving to be irresistible to these little darters.
