Cooking with flowers

Once the lavenders are in full bloom around here, it’s time once again for a little flower cookery and that means lavender jelly, a real favorite in our house. 

This year’s version is lavender-lemon jelly. You have to spread it on toasted sourdough to believe it...and don't forget the homemade butter.











A topping for entrees like lamb, fish, and chicken is also a ver-y tasty option.
