Non-fiction recommendation to beat the heat

I've been trying to finish a great read all week, Washington Rules: America's Path to Permanent War.  Uplifting.  And who reads non-fiction in the summer?

Maybe I'll finish it today with the heat delay.

The author, Andrew Bacevich, visited Bellingham last Monday and we were lucky enough to have dinner with him at a small get-together before his book reading at Village Books.

I give it a big thumbs up - kind of a cross between Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky. Casey's not impressed
