Lakeway Boulevard remembrance

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
                                            We will remember them.
                                                                     Lawrence Binyon, "For the Fallen"

Each day Bellingham commuters are reminded, thanks to a neighbor and unsung hero to the Peace and Justice community, of the true cost of war. This sign has been maintained and updated since 2003 by a retired couple who had had enough. We drive by it each day down Lakeway Boulevard, one of the busiest streets in town, on the way to most of our outdoor hiking excursions with Casey.

Nevermind politics, eastbound drivers get a dose of reality from www.icasualties.org, and westbound, inspiration from Desmond Tutu - 24/7.
